I have a tremendous amount of respect for masters of their craft. I’m in the middle of reading Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and he discusses the requisite 10,000 hours of work in order to achieve mastery, or greatness. As I pursue my own version of greatness, I admire and appreciate witnessing greatness around me. Spending a brief time with the Paul family over the past few summers has offered me a front row seat to the greatness of CP3, the legendary point god Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets. Observing his workouts, I can see how his 10,000+ hours have accumulated in his work ethic and how it translates on the court.
He invited Grayson Allen, Josh Okogie, Janero Pargo, Devonte’ Graham, De’Anthony Melton, and Jamal Murray to join him at his elite guard camp for some mentorship and workouts. Here’s a peek at some of the sweat equity put in by Paul and some of the next generation of basketball players in the NBA.
