Summer (Basketball) Memories

In a given sporting event, such as basketball, there are thousands of memorable moments that pass by as fast as a LeBron James pre-game dunk. It's one of the many reasons I love creating my shots from the sidelines, whether I'm at a professional game or at a park in the summer time.

This past summer I created over 100,000 images of basketball in New York City, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Among those, I captured some great memories. From killer cross overs to peak emotions from players, coaches, and spectators to some poster-worthy dunks.

I'm almost done ranking my top ten dunk images from the summer of 2013, so I figured I would show some of the many worthy candidates I've been culling through. It has not been easy choosing among some of my favorite shots, but it has been fun.

Almost as fun as creating them. Having played and coached basketball, I especially love the anticipation of upcoming plays where my gut tells me I can get some quality shots. I hope you enjoy the slideshow. Stay tuned for the announcement of my number one image of the summer of '13.
